New concept images of the Pad 5 side keyboard show its support for stylus

Xiaomi is working on a new tablet called the Pad 5 and is expected to ship it with flagship device hardware such as the Snapdragon 800 processor and a display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Recently, Digital Chat Station account in Weibo released new concept renderings of the tablet’s side keyboard with its protective cover. In these renderings, a hole in the protective cover is installed to accommodate the tablet camera, and there is also a place for a stylus. If these images are correct, it can be said that Xiaomi will bring the ability to support the stylus to one of its devices for the first time.

In these pictures, the side keyboard of the Pad 5 is seen with island keys and no touchpad is provided for it. In addition, the protective cover is designed in such a way that the tablet is locked with four grooves on the keyboard. Connecting the keyboard to the tablet is also done with Pogo pins.
