According to Apple Insider and according to the results of the Geekbench benchmark, the new iPad Pro models  equipped with the Apple M1 chip are up to 50% faster than the previous generation. The 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro are the first Apple tablets to host the Cupertino-based processing giant, the M1 processor. Apple has also equipped Mac computers with this chip, and claims that the new chip offers up to 50% faster performance in CPU (CPU) and up to 40% in GPU (GPU) compared to A12Z Bionic.

To better understand this, the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, thanks to the M1 chip, managed to score a staggering 1718 points in single-core processing and 7284 points in multi-core processing in the Geekbench benchmark. By comparison, the previous-generation iPad Pro with the A12Z outperformed the 1112 in the single-core segment and the 4656 in the multi-core segment. For graphics performance, the most powerful tablet on the market averaged 20,578 points in the metal segment. The score indicates a 77% improvement in the graphics performance of the iPad Pro 2021 compared to its predecessor, which in fact offers much better performance than Apple estimates.
