The images posted on Twitter yesterday show a prototype of the first generation of the Apple iPad. According to  9to5Mac , we have seen sample images of the first generation iPad before; But new images show that Apple initially planned to design a dock for the first-generation iPad.

Images attributed to the iPad 1 prototype indicate the presence of a mysterious port on the left side of the device. The port in question appears to be a 30-pin secondary connector. It is said that Apple wanted to implement a dual dock system in its first tablet. Apparently, it was possible to charge the iPad simultaneously from both devices.

It is said that Apple has decided to remove the secondary port in the next stage of iPad production. More specifically, this port is said to have been removed during the Engineering Validation ( EVT) test. Apple typically tests its products in three general stages: engineering validation test, design validation test (DVT), and production validation test (PVT), and then enters the production line.

This is not the first time that Apple has reportedly planned to use two ports in the first generation of the iPad. An iPad 1 prototype was auctioned off on eBay in 2012, and according to reports in recent years,Shortly before the release of the iPad, Steve Jobs decided to remove the second port.
