Nvidia’s RTX 2050 GPU, with a score of 9673 in the 3DMark Fire Strike benchmark, ranks between the GTX 1650 and the GTX 1660 Ti in terms of performance.

Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 2050 GPU is part of the company’s Ampere family, introduced in December 2021 (Azar 1400) for budget gaming laptops; Reports at the time indicated that Nvidia was planning to officially introduce the mobile GPU in the first quarter of 2022.

Although the GeForce RTX 2050 GPU has not yet been officially launched, according to Chinese notebook   maker MechRevo, it released the 3DMark Fire Strike benchmark results on March 26, 2014; Specifications and ratings of the RTX 2050 indicate the power of this card with the GeForce MX570 based on the Amper architecture.

The RTX 2050 GPU scored 9.673 on the 3DMark Fire Strike benchmark, which is a good performance compared to the GTX 1650 with 7.891 and the MX450 with 3.141; Of course, it should be noted that the score of this benchmark is not an accurate criterion for comparing the two GPUs, but it can show a relative improvement in performance.

The RTX 2050 in the 3DMark Fire Strike benchmark is exactly between the Turing-based GTX 1650 Ti and the GTX 1660 Ti. RTX 2050 VRAM and low bandwidth provide similar performance to the MX570 for this GPU.

Published benchmark data shows Nvidia’s RTX 2050 video file encoding performance chart compared to Intel Iris Xe 96 EU graphics ; Nvidia can outperform Intel Iris Xe 96 EU integrated graphics at higher resolutions (shorter loads show less processing time).

Of course, it’s still unclear how the RTX 2050 will perform with the right driver, and the integrated RNA’s RDNA2 Series 6000-based integrated graphics look very promising and could easily beat the RTX 2050 GPU in the real world.

In general, it is not possible to make a correct judgment about the performance of the RTX 2050 based on these initial benchmarks. Equipped with dedicated RT and Tensor cores, it uses Nvidia’s DLSS capability to compress more frames in harsher conditions, but does not take advantage of the beam tracking capabilities, as even Nvidia’s more powerful RTX 3050 processor cannot provide full tracking.
