Five years later, it looks like Apple has decided to drop the notch on at least two 2022 high-end iPhones and move on to a more modern design. VonArna has recently released more details about the design of the front of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max  , quoting ShrimpApplePro. ShrimpApplePro first unveiled the new iPhone design in September 2021 (September and October 1400).

Apple’s iPhones of the last five years have a sophisticated system for Face ID technology that includes a large number of components. For this reason, unlike most Android companies, Apple has not resorted to using holes instead of notches, and notches can still be seen at the top of the screen of the latest model of iPhones.

Over time, Apple seems to be looking for a capsule-shaped hole to host a selfie and infrared camera, and a circular hole to host a spot projector.

The schemes unveiled last month show that the dimensions of the hole at the top of the new iPhone’s screen are supposed to be larger than we thought. According to ShrimpApplePro, the display cavity of the new iPhones is supposed to have a diameter of 5,631 mm. This hole is about the size of the camera hole in the iPhone 13 Pro .

In this way, it seems that Apple has only been able to remove the edges around the camera equipment and face ID, and the dimensions of the parts have not been reduced. Clearly, the holes take up less space than the notch, yet the end result is likely to be less attractive than current informal renderings.

Rumor has it that Apple plans to unveil four new iPhone models later this summer, two of which will have 6.1-inch screens and the other two will have 6.7-inch screens. In the Pro model of the iPhone 14 series, Apple will probably go for a 48-megapixel camera with a titanium alloy body. In addition, the protrusion of the camera on the iPhone 14 will probably be less thick.According to forecasts, Apple will unveil the third generation iPhone SE in a few days during a ceremony .
