Apple recently unveiled the iPad Pro 2021 with M1 processor at the Spring Load event; However, the first rumors of the next generation are spreading, which shows that the technology world giant is reviewing the technical design of this product.

According to MacRumors , quoting Mark German from Bloomberg, Apple is developing the next iPad Pro that will have wireless charging capability. The iPad Pro will be introduced in 2022 as a replacement for the upgraded 11.9- and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models launched in May this year.

Instead of an aluminum case, Apple is testing the rear window, which allows for wireless charging, the report said. The Cupertinos introduced wireless charging for the first time in the iPhone 8 and iPhone X family (iPhone 10) using a glass back surface, and since then, all iPhone models have supported wireless charging.

Current iPads are charged via USB-C or Lightning port, and if this news is true, Apple can bring the iPad and iPhone charging process closer together. Bloomberg warns that work on the next iPad Pro is still in its infancy and that Apple’s plans may change or be canceled before next year. Most current wireless chargers are compatible with smartphone dimensions; Therefore, the wireless charging feature for the iPad may require a different charger. It is also possible that Apple will use a dedicated charger that fits the dimensions of the iPad Pro for wireless charging. As usual, wireless charging is expected to be slower than charging via a Thunderbolt-based USB-C port.

Apple is also working on reverse wireless charging, which allows users to charge their iPhone, AirPad and other accessories by placing it on the back of the iPad. If you remember, there were rumors about the reverse wireless charging feature in the iPhone 11 series; But in the end this did not happen. Bloomberg says that Apple has disabled this feature on the iPhone.
