According to MacRumors , and according to information obtained from the Wall Street Journal, prototypes of the AirPad are equipped with temperature monitoring sensors to monitor the user’s body temperature from within the ear. The report claims that in-ear temperature sensors can work at the same time as a similar sensor on the Apple Watch 8 Series.

According to the report, the AirPad, based on its health-oriented features, also uses motion sensors to monitor the user’s general condition and sends a notification to users in the event of a problem. In addition, it is claimed that future AirPads can be used as hearing aids.

Last week, Apple introduced the Conversation Boost feature to the AirPad Pro with a new firmware update. This feature can greatly improve the speech of deaf people and apparently uses microphone’s radiation technology and machine learning to separate the human voice. However, it is not clear whether the new hearing aid functions that Apple is reviewing are related to the boost conversion plug-in or a completely different feature of the hearing aid. Earpads are pre-equipped with a microphone, amplifier and processor, which provide the necessary platform for the hearing aid to function.
