Rohit Verma , one of the main designers of GPUs, announced in a post on his LinkedIn that he would leave after eight years in the third week of Bahman 1400, and a week later he announced that he would join Intel as the head of the GPU design team .

In his new job, he will take on the role he played during his tenure. Verma had spent 15 years at Intel prior to his eight-year tenure at Imedi, where he was the chip’s chief architect at the time; The new Intel member, before joining the company for the first time, worked for a company called National Semiconductor, which no longer exists.

For the past three years, Verma has been working as a designer of stand-alone processors; During this time he also worked on projects for the gaming, cloud gaming , consumer market, and workstation computers, and five years earlier, he worked in a semi-custom business unit.

Workstations are powerful computers that enable heavy-duty batch processing.

According to techspot, Rohit Verma has joined the company as the lead architect of Intel AXG’s separate GPUs; The AXG team was created last year as the graphics division of Intel by Raja Kadouri.

The new Intel designer wrote on his LinkedIn:

I’m very happy to be back at Intel and look forward to working with this team to design and produce the next generation of creative graphic products.

Intel has a long history of hunting and recruiting senior engineers; In 2017, the company hired Raja Kadouri, former director of Radeon Technology Group, as his senior vice president at Core and Visual Computing. Turbidity is currently developing separate GPUs and Intel Enterprise Accelerators.
